It has been a marvelous journey for me to watch. Any commentary I have for your work comes from me supporting you. It is my opinion and mine alone, I am entitled to have a conflicting opinion from time to time, as is anyone. I would never expect you to change anything about your work based on one individual’s commentary. Maybe before expressing my opinion I should have told you what it was that I have always loved about you and your work. Most importantly, I love the way your work allows people to be in an altered state of being. An altered universe, if you will. And I love your projects that offer social commentary with humor and terrific metaphors. Not to mention the fact you are out there creating anything, when so many of us (including me) are often on the couch eating salt and vinegar chips waiting for life to entertain us. In fact, much of your work does focus on you because it is your charisma and your charm that people seek, they are naturally affected in a positive way by your personality. We should be able to dialogue about these things without making it into a personal attack situation. Unending admiration is scary Marc; I don’t think you want that from anyone in your life. That isn’t real. What keeps all of us real is questioning ourselves from time to time and making sure we are present fully and aware of our intent. I’d expect nothing less from you, someone I admire and respect. But then again, that would just be your opinion-and I could take it or leave it. Even friends can be dead wrong sometimes. And quite possibly I could have just been having a cigarette withdraw manic session when I initially commented on your blog. (I quit smoking last week!) Again, I post this new statement on your blog because your work involves the masses, and right now it is almost entirely fueled my them-so making this discussion open to the universe seemed appropriate.
