The Marc Horowitz Signature Series – I signed my name on a US map and then drove that route, “improving” towns along the way.
The Recessionator – A device I created to save the US economy from doom & gloom using my body and a little paint.
Google Maps Road Trip – My friend Pete Baldes and I traveled across the US entirely on Google Maps using the arrow keys to drive. It took us 9 days!
The National Dinner Tour – This is a project where I wrote “dinner w/ marc 510-872-7326,” my name and cell phone, on a dry erase board featured in a Crate & Barrel catalog. I eventually received over 30,000 calls from people wanting to dine with me. As a result, I traveled the USA in a tiny RV for a year dining with strangers.
The Me & You Show – This is a show I did at the Hayward Gallery in London. It was curated by Ralph Rugoff and ran for 7 weeks.
Commercial for My High School – I went back to my high school in Paradise, Indiana to make a commercial for it.
Shin Guard Armor – A suit of armor entirely made from soccer shin guards; made for people who have a fear of sharp objects.
Twitter Drawings – I made a 100 of these and sent them out to the first 100 people that added me on twitter. I like these drawings a lot; I know I shouldn’t say that.
Drawings – Here are some drawings I’ve made.
Talkshow247 – For three months straight, I broadcast my life live on the internet 24/7 to a live audience. It about killed me.
Fight Noise with Noise Kit – You know you wanna get back at your loud neighbor and that douche with the loud motorcycle.
Hi! (Neil Young) – I arranged 50 white plastic lawn chairs on the side of a hill that faced Neil’s property to spell out the word “Hi”.
Sliv & Dulet Enterprises – This is a company my friend, Jon Brumit, and I set up. We developed things like the Swiss Army Cubicle and the Full Service Office in a Tent.
At Least You Don’t Have It This Bad – Be thankful you don’t have these problems.
Commercial – I was invited to participate in the Bologna Art Fair. For my project, I selected 18 galleries that were also exhibiting at the fair and made short commercials for their gallery.
Errand Feasibility Study – I took a mule around San Francisco to do my errands. It was surprisingly better than doing em by bike or car.
Hidden Paintchip Fancy Gift – Christmas came a little early/late this year with this new exciting scavenger hunt game I unveiled at tenoversix. Spoiler Alert: I give all my mom’s Christmas gifts she gave to me to complete strangers.
People Going Places – People are always going here and there. Around them are more people doing the same. For this project, I took group portraits of folks waiting for the tram in Geneva.
7 Days in a Sentra – I lived in a car for 7 days and Nissan made a series of national commercials out of it.
The Center for Improved Living (in Geneva) – Me and TCFIL took it to the streets of geneva with tons of projects.
Coffee in the Park – Every Saturday for a year, I strung together 1500 feet of extension cord from my kitchen to Alamo Square Park to serve free coffee.
The Parking Lot Talk Show – I set up a desk and a couple chairs in a parking lot and make a talk show with the people in the lot.
Brick Helicopter – This is a schematical drawing on how to take apart your brick house and car and assemble a helicopter to flee a dangerous situation.
TP Tornado – This is something I stumbled upon accidentally while waiting for a phone call at a pay phone in the Santa Cruz mountains.
Soft Burden – covering yourself with shaving cream is better than being shot in the arm.
Motivational Sculptures – We all can use a little motivation! Posters are so last year, why not own a Motivational Sculpture brought to you by The Center for Improved Living.
A Tribute to America in a Closet in Geneva – After many hours with crazy glue and an exacto, shazam, a full fledged tribute to America appeared… in Geneva… in a closet.
Box – For several weeks, I dressed up in a box and visited various places.
Mr. Nice Guy – For a week, I walked around Paris in a tux that read Mr. Nice Guy and attempted to help folks.
Free Advice – I went to the little mountain town of Sky Londa, CA and offered free advice to whom ever wanted it.
More Better – This is a show I did with AMT Gallery in Italy. It’s lots of stuff that will make your life way better.
